VIPERS - 2010 Information

Last updated: Sunday February 14, 2010 1:30PM

Peter Richardson has been re-appointed Head Coach of the Vipers for 2010 and would like to extend an invitation to all players who might be interested in playing for the Vipers this season.

In addition to players out there who were members of the Vipers squad last season, he would also like to reach as many "new" players as possible, in particular, the U15 and U17 girls, and open womens squads that did so well in the recently completed FFV Victorian Champions League.

New players should have a look over the Vipers web-site to get a good history of the squad's achievements over the last 5 seasons...

Could all new players please email Peter with your name and contact details (email, mobile) so he can add you to our emailing list for more information about the upcoming WPL season.

Our pre-season program will kick off on Sunday 28th February, running from 10:30am till about 3:30pm, at the Moama Recreation Reserve (off Perricoota Road, Moama - http://www.whereis.com/nsw/moama/perricoota-rd?id=6901D41267779B )

The remaining pre-season sessions will be...

(2) Sun 14th Mar'10 @ McEwen Reserve, Shepparton (eg. 10:30am - 4:30pm?)

(3) Sat 20th Mar'10 @ Epsom-Huntly Rec Res - training (11:00am-1:00pm?) then Vipers vs FCV Women AllStars match (4:00-5:45pm)

(4) Sun 28th Mar'10 @ McEwen Reserve, Shepparton (eg. 10:30am - 4:30pm?)

(5) Wed 7th Apr'10 @ Epsom-Huntly Rec Res (eg. 10:30am - 4:30pm?)

In trying to minimize both costs and travel for all players (spread across a large area of northern Victoria), he has shared the sessions between Bendigo, Moama and Shepp. At this stage the pre-season consists of just the five 1-day sessions over about 6 weeks, with both the Labour Day long weekend and Easter Friday to Monday left clear. Most players should attend four of these sessions (or three at a minimum).

Please contact Peter if you have any concerns, questions or suggestions.

Cheers - GO VIPERS!!!
