NEW Sep 4, 2010 11:19AM | SPECIAL OLYMPICS - WINTER GAMES AT MOAMA
The Special Olympics Committee will hold the Winter Games at Echuca-Moama on the weekend of October 9 & 10. The soccer component of the games will be held at the Jack Eddy Oval on Saturday October 9th and Sunday October 10th with finals held on Sunday at 2pm. The committee needs people to referee, run lines and work in the canteen on both days. Referees and linesmen will be paid the usual rate. The final day of SSF was held last Saturday at Jack Eddy Oval - we were fortunate to have a sunny day for all the players to be presented with participation medals by some of our sponsors after their last games for 2010. Wayne Sutton from Rich River Golf Club and Steven Zandt from Echuca Toyota assisted Coordinators to present medals to our U6, U7 & U9 players and Mark McWhirter from Nestle for our U11 players.
