| SPECIAL OLYMPICS - WINTER GAMES AT MOAMA | updated September 4, 2010 |
The Special Olympics Committee will hold the Winter Games at Echuca-Moama on the weekend of October 9 & 10.
The soccer component of the games will be held at the Jack Eddy Oval on Saturday October 9th and Sunday October 10th with finals held on Sunday at 2pm.
The committee needs people to referee, run lines and work in the canteen on both days. Referees and linesmen will be paid the usual rate.
If you can help out for a couple of hours, contact Jo on 5859 2252 or email info@borderraiders.com.au
Games will be 7-a-side with no offside played. There are a couple of rule changes such as no throw ins but otherwise will be much the same as SSF rules.
Help make this weekend successful for the visiting athletes.

| SMALL SIDED FOOTBALL - PRESENTATIONS | updated September 1, 2010 |
The final day of SSF was held last Saturday at Jack Eddy Oval - we were fortunate to have a sunny day for all the players to be presented with participation medals by some of our sponsors after their last games for 2010.
Wayne Sutton from Rich River Golf Club and Steven Zandt from Echuca Toyota assisted Coordinators to present medals to our U6, U7 & U9 players and Mark McWhirter from Nestle for our U11 players.

| PLANNING NIGHT - HAVE YOUR SAY | updated August 29, 2010 |
The Committee of Management wishes to invite you to a planning forum as the first step in developing a new Strategic Plan.
The Forum will be held on Monday Sept. 13th at 7.30pm at the St. Mary's Hall.
The aim of the forum is to assist the Committee to develop our strategic direction: - what programs should we offer?
- what do players want?
- how should we prioritize programs?
- how do we balance competing interests?
- how do we connect our senior and junior programs?
- how do we retain mid-late teen players?
- what junior programs should we prioritize?
- how do we raise funds for future clubrooms?
- how do we develop coaches and referees?
- how do we attract and retain volunteers?
If your child loves playing soccer with Moama-Echuca Border Raiders, what ideas do you have so that we can offer a varied program to children in the area?
What is working well? What needs improvement? How do we achieve it?
The more people we can hear from, the more likely that our future plan will offer what your children want from the Association.
So come along and enjoy some debate about our future direction.
Supper will be provided.

AMNESTY - if you have any gear or equipment at home, please return next Saturday Sept. 4th - no questions asked! Please check your boot, shed and spare room, there are several junior representative strip sets missing which we need returned. Also any club balls or other equipment including keys.
